To create this beautiful off white color, iron powder is mixed into the white clay. The minimalist design evokes a triangular shape that is useful in steeping.
Left unglazed but high-temperature fired (yakijime), the pot will absorb the bitterness in your tea just a little, creating a more rounded flavor profile. Expect the pot to age as a result of this absorption, turning brownish in color over the years as a mark of your connoiseurship.

Fujita Tokuta (藤田徳太) was born in 1975 in Kita Kyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and trained with artisan Araki Toshio (
荒木俊雄) in Tokoname before gaining renown as an ceramic artist in his own right with exhibitions held throughout Japan.
