It’s not just the climate that attracts visitors but summer is also the season for flowers.

Furano and Biei, located in the central Hokkaido, are the two well-known places for gardens and fields. Lavenders and sunflowers bloom and the fields are covered in various colors; a spectacular view of endless land in green, yellow, purple, and so many other colors, all under the vast blue sky and white clouds. This is the scenery often referred to as a carpet or patchwork.

The best way to get around is by driving or cycling. Experience the beauty of Hokkaido’s summer landscape!
