Matcha Hot Chocolate with Christmas Decoration Recipe

This matcha hot chocolate is a cozy drink to warm you up! It is totally rich and sweet, and best enjoyed with whipped cream and a Christmas decoration. Perfect for sipping on while opening gifts on Christmas morning. The decoration will surprise your family, or making the decoration together will be fun. 

With simple ingredients, easy to make, but, there are some tips for making it smooth. Try this smooth and creamy matcha hot chocolate !!

 

How to make the decoration

Fold the paper in half, and cut the paper out with scissors. 

A template for decoration is ready.

You can just put this paper onto the cup, and then sprinkle matcha over it. It's easy, but works very well. Get some Christmas sprinkles and enjoy decorating it more!

 

 

 

Matcha Hot Chocolate with Christmas Decoration Recipe 

 



Ingredients

  • 50g white chocolates, chopped
  • 200ml milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3 tsp matcha
  • whipped cream for garnishing
  • matcha for garnishing
  • sprinkles for garnishing


Instructions

  1. Heat the milk in a pan on low. Add the chocolates in and stir well to melt.   
  2. Place the matcha and sugar in a small cup and mix together.
  3. Add some of the warm milk into the cup of matcha and sugar, and stir well with a whisk until the mixture becomes smooth without lumps.
  4. Add the mixture of 3 into the pan and mix well. 
  5. Pour it into a mug. If you pour it with a tea strainer (chakoshi) sieving, you will have a perfectly smooth drink. Add some whipped cream on top. 
  6. Set the cut paper of Christmas tree shape onto the mug, and sprinkle matcha over it. Using a tea strainer (chakoshi ) will be easy to sprinkle. Garnish with favorite sprinkles.
